John B. Ramil President, COO, TECO Energy, Inc. Keynote Speaker Thursday, May 24, 2007
CIS Conference is honored to have John B. Ramil, President and Chief Operating Officer for TECO Energy, as our keynote speaker for Thursday, May 24, 2007. With 30 years of utility experience in a wide variety of roles, he will definitely be able to share wisdom that will apply to each level of expertise and office of our utility industry attendees.
A Tampa native, Ramil joined Tampa Electric in March 1976 as a cooperative education student while attending the University of South Florida, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Engineering. Since joining the company, he has held a variety of leadership positions within the company’s Energy Services, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Customer Service and Environmental Affairs areas. He also served as president of various other TECO Energy Subsidiaries.
In 2001, Florida Governor Jeb Bush appointed Ramil to the charter Board of Trustees of the University of South Florida. He is also on the boards of the Florida Electric Power Coordinating Group, the Southeastern Electric Exchange, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the Tampa Bay Partnership. |
